Mary’s Monologue

Here is my reflection on Mary’s perspective during her final stages of pregnancy. It has been a joy to be great with child during this Advent season. Merry Christmas to All!

“Blessed is she who believes that what the Lord has said will be accomplished.” Luke 1:45

  1. I’d been wondering how this turned out! Thank you for posting the video. Mel, it brought tears to my eyes, and it spoke to a need of my own right now, as well. Bless you, friend. You did an awesome thing, and I know this performance blessed Jesus, too!

  2. Melanie I am also crying as I remember a time not so long ago praying over your barren state in the wake of a lost baby….truly…. “blessed is she who believes that what the Lord has spoken to her will come to pass.” You are a wonderful actress as well :)… and your singing was so beautiful…the whole thing filled me up and encouraged my heart so much…thank you for sharing this. The whole time Ella kept asking when the baby would come out….now we all wait and wonder with you!! 🙂

  3. I’m just seeing this monologue. Oh my goodness…. what a gift God gave you and what a gift you gave others this Christmas. This was powerful and profound. Your delivery and singing was beautiful. Good job getting this on video and posting it. My girls watched it with me too. They asked “when can we go see them”?
